Ugly

This morning, from a cave somewhere in Afghanistan, Taliban Minister of Migration, Mohammed Alibaba Ockmed, warned the United States that if military actions against Iraq continue, Taliban authorities intend to cut off America's supply of 7-11 Managers and Motel 6 Managers. If this action does not yield sufficient results, cab drivers will be next, followed by DELL, AT&T and AOL customer service reps. Finally, if all else fails, they have threatened not to send us any more candidates for President, either. This may get ugly, people...

Obama Blunders: The war on terror- Part 2 - GITMO

In my last entry, I noted that the current administration does not seem to be taking the war on terror seriously. In the past few days, I have noticed, to their credit, more of a sense of urgency regarding the situation, the latest statement from the President on the botched Christmas Day attack that it was a "screw-up". However, we have still yet to hear him use the term "War on Terror", with him seeming to view it more as a police operation than a serious threat to our national security, let alone out peace of mind.

I personally believe it would not be as big of a threat as it currently is if the administration had not done the following (though I will state that no measure of security is fail-safe).

The president's pledge to close Guantanamo Bay's terrorist detaining prison shows his loyalty to politcal correctness over the safety of the American people. Since when did terrorists have "rights"? How, on this green earth, does he justify letting these people go?
It was insinuated in congress in May 2009 that these people being detained at this (rather excellent) prison would be released into the general public of the United States of America, and Congressman

Also, we should note that it will actually cost more money to shut GITMO down rather than keep it operating. Does anyone see the flawed logic here? We're already trillions in debt with a huge deficit, and they want to to spend even more?! Once again, we see the liberal attitude of using one's emotions to run government rather than wisdom, prudence and logic?

In a report from May 2009 on this subject from Fox News, we could see the liberal agenda, though masked, has become quite apparent:

"After the failed vote, Tiahrt said that it's now "public record" that Democrats want to "transfer or release detainees on American soil with full knowledge that some will be released on our streets."

Tiahrt also introduced the No Welfare for Terrorists Act of 2009, which prohibits any detainee from Guantanamo Bay who is released into the United States from receiving federal benefits such as food stamps or welfare.

Director of National Intelligence Dennis Blair suggested last month that the U.S. would likely give government assistance to detainees released in the U.S. "to start a new life," the Kansas lawmaker noted.

The fact that congress had to vote to keep them from being released on our soil makes it clear that there are people in our government who want to integrated into our society, and even give them funding. Attorney General Eric Holder has stated that none of these people will be released into the American public, but if what happened Christmas Day is any indication, when a man on a no-fly list who was not supposed to have a passport got on an airplane and almost blew up 300 people, then what's to stop the rest of these people from taking similar action?

Similarly, if they made a serious mistake releasing Ali al-Shahiri, from this prison in September 2007, and this individual has gone back to Yemen and risen to second-in-command of al-Qaeda in that area, then what in the heck makes them think that other people within that prison won't go back to al-Qaeda as well? (Don't believe me? Check it out here, on a liberal-news website.)

He Wants you Dead.

Don't believe me? Then wait until they attack again. Because if this administration doesn't get on the ball soon, that's exactly what's going to happen.

Coming next time: the elimination of obtaining information from terrorists.

Obama Blunders: The War on Terror, Part 1 addendum

To my readers: I wish to make a correction on my last blog. Although I swear to you that I heard President Barak Obama quote his secretary Janet Napiltano that "the system worked"... but others have since "disproved" me, and I can't find the quote anywhere now. This is the kind of garbage we're dealing with from this administration...

Obama Blunders: The War on Terror - Part 1

For a while now, I've been wondering if the President really recognizes the issues we have with terrorism. I wonder if he even thinks it's real. I am going to present some evidence that speaks, purely out of logical conclusion, that he does not, will not, or perhaps even simply cannot understand that we are at war with these Muslim-fascist-extremists.
Said Gary Bernsten, a former CIA officer, on Hannity's special edtion,"Terror on trial", addressing the issue of having a terrorist tried in New York City in a civilian court... "it is dangerous because I don't think the administration understands the size and the scope of the enemy we face. There are over 900,000 people that have gone through terrorist training camps in Pakistan in the last 20 years. This is a war.
"Al Qaeda is working as a coordinating body now between these groups. Al Qaeda is doing less direct action and more coordination."

Evidence that the Obama administration fails to comprehend the vast and dangerous and very capable enemy that wants nothing more than to see us destroyed includes the following:

  • The Fort Hood Shooting: This was the first terrorist-related activity to actually take lives since 2001. I find it interesting that it was a Muslim man, who was already under suspicion, yet he was allowed to continue to serve in the Armed Forces. I am not against the Muslim faith; however as Newt Gingrich recently put it, "We need to actively profile against [them]."
Politicsdaily.com summed up some of Gingrich's other statements on the subject including "steps Gingrich says the U.S. government must take: discussing openly the threat from Islamist extremists; "profiling for terrorists" and "actively discriminating" against them based on suspicious terrorist information; tracking down proprietors of Web sites that promote terrorism; creating a national strategy to fight terror that goes beyond the war in Afghanistan; aborting the administration's plan to try the 9-11 masterminds in federal court; and firing Homeland Security's Janet Napolitano."

  • Then there's the Christmas Day failed attack, from the Nigerian man working for al-Qaeda. The man was able to get a bomb on a plane, and the president said "The system worked," from his vacation spot in Hawaii. The young man's father even warned the CIA that this was about to happen. You know what they did? They disregarded it.
What system, exactly, are you speaking about, here, Mr. President? The terrorist system? Because it most clearly was not the homeland security system.

  • As was mentioned earlier, there is the upcoming terrorist trial in New York. Attorney General Eric Holder's decision to have the trial there clearly shows his in not the competent man for the job. Never before has a terrorist received anything but a military tribunal for his actions. I believe this is a slap in the face to America and particularly the people in New York City, and that this clearly shows the Obama Administration's concern with being politically correct rather than making the decision that would be wisest for our national security. Holder should be fired for making such an outrageous call, and Obama impeached for backing this decision.

And it should be deferred to a military tribunal in honor of the heroes who fell that horrible day on September 11, 2001. There it will be assured that these wicked men will receive exactly what they deserve, with little or no worry about the rest of the world will think when thy are executed for their crimes against humanity.

Obama Blunders: Fox News

Fox News: this is a personal favorite of mine. I think it's been hilarious as he has made an effort to eliminate the first amendment rights of this news station, by instating the "Fairness Doctrine", which would require that if someone had an opposing view of the President and/or congresses actions, then the show would be legally required to also present the view of those who agreed with the president.
And do you think he stopped there? Of course not. He tried to have them pulled off the air.
Unconstitutional? Why yes, I think so. Mr. President, by making this move, you are in direct violation of your oath of office. This is, in my opinion, grounds for impeachment.

I do want to say that I look to all the sources
I can for my news briefings, particularly NBC and the Associated Press. However, there comes a time when I want to hear opinion, one that I will generally agree with and will not drive me up the wall. I want opinion that reaches out to people of both parties, instead of accusing one party of being at fault, but points the fingers at Republicans and Democrats alike when there are blunders being made. I want it to be entertaining as well (the left seems to think that there is something wrong with that).

I want to hear the opinions from people who are not afraid to state what they think, and how they feel it could be improved. I want these opinions from those who are morally upright, family-type individuals.

Sean Hannity and Glenn Beck are indeed two men who fit this description. I don't believe all they say is always right all the time, but they are good men generally concerned with the welfare of our country.

As far as Fox News is concerned, they were rated #2 the other week on cable. People are looking to sources that present something other than the liberal point of view. I will readily admit that most of what is on there is the conservative point of view. You know what? That's okay, because this this America, a country established on free speech. If you want your liberal news, that's okay too. That's your right, your right that President Obama is trying to eliminate.

Obama Blunders: Foreign Relations

Let's start with foreign relations:
  • His apology tour around the world at the beginning of his administration, telling everyone "just how sorry" America is for our "misbehavior." I might add that this included bowing to the king of Saudi Arabia. The President of the United States has never bowed to anyone before this.

  • He has pushed for the creation of a Palestinian state. Clearly, this is the most anti-Israeli move any President has ever made.
  • From the bottom his heart:

He gave some fantastic "gifts" to the Queen of England (an iPod) and her prime minister (a stack of 25 DVDs that only work in Zone 1, which is the United States and Canada), when the Queen and Gordon Brown each took time to present something meaningful, the queen giving an autographed photo of her and the Duke of Edinburgh, and in the prime minister's case, quite historic, when he presented the President with a pen madefrom the anti-slave ship HMS Gannet.
I fail to understand this, because the United Kingdom has long been our best friend and closest ally; in all of our difficulties and foreign problems they have been at our side, backing us and defending us, even if it strained their relations with other countries. And this is how he said, "Thanks England. You're the best."
We all saw the real message here: "England, we're going to rely on the middle eastern countries and pansy-a** places like France for our friends now. You can take your democracy and our friendship and shove it."

"You hear me?! SHOVE IT!"

2009: a review of the year socialism took over America, courtesy President Barak Obama

Normally, I am not a harbinger of doom. I generally look at the world, and see things with a positive outlook. If you ask my friends, I will normally tell them, if they are stressing over a situation, that I'm sure things will work out and it will be alright. Being an optimist is something I feel has become one of my great characteristics.
However, I am bothered over the events of this past year. I thought I would offer my opinion on the past year, and an outlook, bleak as it may be, on the coming 2010.
A little less than a year ago, I was serving as a full-time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I was mostly out of the loop, as missionaries disconnect themselves from the world as they serve, meaning no news, no TV, no newspaper, no internet except email to communicate with family back home, relying on the members of the Church in the area to keep them informed on the current events of the world.
As we were visiting some less-active members of the Church on election night 2008, they did have the TV on. I observed for a few minutes, as Senator McCain conceded the election to then-Senator Obama. My only thoughts, amidst the celebratory atmosphere, were, "We're screwed."
Barak Hussein Obama took office two short months later. I later read, after returning home, his inauguration speech, his promise for "Change", how he failed to acknowledge President George W. Bush's accomplishments, and how he was taking the office of presidency under "Dark times."
The Change came very quickly, with a super-majority of the Democrats in office. Special interest groups, such as ACORN, who are known for advocating things such as prostitution, and defense of laws that stand in violation of the United States Constitution, such as a law limiting gun purchases to one a month in New Jersey (the law was struck down, FYI). Healthcare "for all Americans" was pushed forward, against the will of the vast majority of the people, because we understood that this would limit our ability to compete and maintain our capitalistic way of life.

I am now beginning a series, in an effort to review how full 2009 was of Obama-mishaps, socialization and outright attempts to violate the Constitution of this great country. I invite you to take each of these into consideration, as we will be choosing congress representatives and senators, and many of the incumbents are in close cahoots with the President and fully back this agenda of his.
